Located in Ellijay, in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains, Deep South Farm sits on over 30 acres of beautiful mountain land. We are nestled in a valley with a 3.5-acre lake surrounded by open fields and mature oaks. Our 3500 square foot open air barn is adjacent to the lake and easily accommodate 150 people for a seated reception. It has full restrooms, including handicap accessibility, and a prep area for the caterers. In the case of inclement weather, this is also where the wedding ceremony would be held. Your wedding ceremony can be held in the oak grove on the far side of the lake from the barn. It gives you the lake and fields in the background, with the barn just off to the side a little. Our packages are designed to take as much stress off of planning your wedding as possible. All of the Saturday packages include having us decorate the venue with your choice of items from our extensive inventory as well as all the flowers. We have everything you could think of to decorate for your wedding included with the packages. This includes several different styles of lanterns, candles, table runners, vintage wood boxes and windows, whiskey barrels, and too many other things to mention. The flowers included in the packages would have all the flowers for the day: wedding party, family, the ceremony arrangements and arrangements for the reception. The flowers are fresh flowers and are designed by our in-house florist based on your preferences. There is a bridal cottage on site for the bride and her girls to spend the day getting ready. The cottage overlooks the entire property from the top of the hill. The groom’s cabin is at the back of the property down by the lake. There will be no fear of the groom accidentally seeing the bride before she is ready for her big reveal. These cabins, along with one more on the property, can also be rented for the night. Our team of design consultants will deliver every aspect and fine detail of planning to execute the perfect Southern wedding or other occasion, all with the flair, elegance, and hospitality that only comes from the South.
