Located in the stunning Waveney Valley, Hales Hall & The Great Barn can accommodate up to 200 seated guests for your wedding breakfast, and 300 standing for your evening reception. We are licensed for both Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships in the Great Barn, the Gallery & offer the option of a duo ceremony. We are able to accommodate up to 25+ guests onsite with exclusive use of all the grounds for a ‘country house wedding’ experience

Set among the picturesque South Norfolk countryside, yet only 13 miles from Norwich, our venue is complete with a fully licensed bar, integrated lighting, and sound system, raised stage, underfloor heating, and a Gallery upstairs that boasts stunning views across the fields. The Gallery can also be used throughout your day as a relaxed retreat for the married couple, or an area for Champagne and canapés.

The Great Barn has a gravelled terrace with outdoor seating in our ‘cart store’ for you and your guests to enjoy throughout your day, along with the front lawn for post-ceremonial drinks and garden games. The gardens of Hales Hall are the main focus point with the accommodation & the Great Barn surrounding them. The picturesque gardens feature established herbaceous plants and trees, topiary, and a moated area complete with a fountain, all of which provide you with a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs.

The bespoke lighting and sound system inside the Grade I listed Tudor brick barn (the largest of its kind in Britain!) can be tailored to create you the atmosphere that you require, and provide background music throughout your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and outstanding acoustics for bands and DJs in the evening. We also have modern bathroom facilities which include a baby changing area, housed in the neighbouring stables.

Hales Hall can sleep up to 25+ guests on site. Our accommodation has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and furnished with antique furnishings in a restrained and elegant style featuring luxury bathrooms, 14 individually styled bedrooms with Vi-spring beds & Egyptian cotton linens & numerous reception rooms. The 40 foot country kitchen has an Aga, two dishwashers, two large sinks and is extremely well equipped. Our accommodation is offered on a catered or self-catered basis offering the opportunity for everything to be taken care of on the weekend of your wedding.
