Dating back to the 17th Century, our traditional coaching inn mixes traditional time-honoured values with modern comforts. The George was originally home to Oliver Cromwell’s grandfather, and we take great pride in its history and that of the local area.
Each of our 26 bedrooms accommodates modern day luxuries as well as the more classical features. This continues into our bar and restaurant area where you can enjoy our seasonal menus that are complimented by real ales and fine wines.
The George Hotel can also cater for your wedding ceremony and reception, which means that you can hold your entire day under one roof! With the ability to hold up to 120 guests, you can enjoy a truly traditional English wedding with us.
And as if all of this isn’t enough to make you want to book your special day with us, we are also conveniently located with the A14 and A1 (M) within close reach.
