Located in Dallas, Pennsylvania, The Barn at Shadyrill Farm is a rustic barn venue that can be used for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. With scenic views of the Loyalville mountains and beautiful outdoor spaces to host ceremonies, this 27-acre farm offers couples a wedding as unique as they are. Facilities and CapacityCouples will find no shortage of outdoor areas to hold their personalized wedding ceremony. Some of the favorite areas on the farm include a waterfront location by the farm pond, a spacious spot in the field, or in front of the century-old farmhouse. While the barn is more than 100 years old, the amenities have been updated through renovation. A classic farm style is now supported through new, rough-cut lumber walls and ceilings, and insulation lines the walls along with new lighting in the 15-foot-high ceilings. A large open space, the barn offers two restrooms, a changing room, and a large kitchen along with room for up to 175 guests. An outdoor space provides plenty of room for extra seating or a dance floor under the stars. A goldfish pond near the house provides entertainment for children, and the venue is also pet-friendly.Services OfferedThe Barn at Shadyrill Farm has been updated to include new amenities, including a heat supply to accommodate weddings in the colder months. The kitchen area within the bar is a full catering kitchen, allowing vendors to prepare food for the cocktail reception and reception in a convenient area. The couple and wedding party can use the bridal suite before the wedding to get ready and relax.HistoryThe original homestead, built in the early 1800s, consisted of a three-story farmhouse, barn, and small tenant house. A large bank barn was added in 1900 to accommodate up to 6,000 bales of hay the main floor. The farm and land was purchased by Pennsylvania Governor John S. Fine in 1950 with the idea of creating a showplace farm, complete with Blue Ribbon Dairy herd. He is the one who added a basement to the bank barn for milking cows. The farm house was bought again in 1978 by the current owners, who began renovating the farm house and planting a fruit orchard. Robert and Janet Ciravolo used the barn as a cafe, bakery, and gift shop for a time before renovating the space and opening as a wedding venue in 2016.
