With space for up to 56 wedding guests in our main dining room, The Lucky Onion’s beautiful Georgian townhouse makes for the perfect intimate regency venue for saying and celebrating ‘I do’. Classic on the outside, contemporary British on the inside, The House has the down-the-aisle style which all weddings need – a seamless mix of sophistication and fun. There’s an events manager too, making sure everything runs smoothly.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, exchange vows in the elegant lounge or the dining room then head outside for your drinks reception and toast your marriage on the new terrace. Stunning arrangements from our friends at the Beautiful Flower Company, whose studio is just down the road at Dowdeswell Park, provide the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs.
The food is another reason to get married at The House. Well known for its fantastic feasts, savour an elegant wedding supper in the private dining room and book out The House for your exclusive use. With dishes conjured up using the best of locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, enjoy delicious Best of British fare, accompanied by the finest of wines.
After dancing the night away to the tunes of your favourite DJ, settle down in one of The House’s eight individually-designed bedrooms. Bold colours, cleverly-mismatched textures and unique furniture fill the space – think pendant lights mixed with cornices and antique doors, plundered from artisans’ workshops and antique stores. Sumptuous Egyptian bed linen, heavenly Aqua di Parma products and stroll-in double showers or roll top baths provide the cherry on top.
The following morning, shake off any inkling of a hangover with a scrumptious cooked breakfast or continental buffet breakfast, which overflows with all you could possibly want.
