An impressive venue for your perfect wedding. Hitchin Priory is located in a 19-acre area of gorgeous parkland which is ideal for celebrating weddings and other special events. Dating back to 1317, this former Carmelite monastery has evolved over time and now beautifully combines a mosaic of ages -the ideal backdrop for you and your guests to celebrate your big day. Facilities and capacity This venue is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 90 guests in the Main House with elegantly decorated, beautifully appointed reception suites. It can accommodate up to 80 guests for your wedding breakfast in the Main House, or up to 200 in the Priory Marquee. For your evening reception, it can hold up to 200 guests in the Main House, and 300 in the Marquee. Services offered Hitchin Priory’s skilled wedding coordinator will be with you during every stage of the planning process, from your initial enquiry to the wedding day itself, offering outstanding dedication to make sure what you have in mind is met. You and your guests will also be able to dance to a band or disco in the Atrium of the Main House, or a disco in the Marquee until midnight -they will arrange all the entertainment for you. Cuisine Their Head Chef has put together a lovely menu for you to enjoy, with fine local produce prepared to impress. Whether you are thinking about a canapé reception, an evening buffet or a full wedding breakfast, its culinary team will create a wedding menu with passion and flair. Accommodation The accommodation includes 52 en-suite bedrooms which come with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a colour TV for your enjoyment. It offers specially discounted prices for all your wedding guests, as well as a Bridal Suite with their compliments. All rates include a full English breakfast.
