Situated on the magnificent Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast, this unique venue is ideally suitable for small, formal and informal weddings. The ceremonies take place on the third floor of the tower and the floor above can be laid out for “Champagne & Nibbles” for post-ceremony celebrations. The tower can be decorated by us or the couple can decorate it themselves using any, all or none of our decorations, to their own style. This is normally done the day prior to the ceremony.
Following the ceremony and the “toasts” guests are welcome to ascend the tower to view the lantern and see the fantastic views of north Somerset and Devon coastlines and the South Wales coast as far as the tip of the Gower Peninsula. Brilliant for pictures for the couple and guests.
Another bonus is that while the wedding party is having their outside, group pictures taken we sound the historic and very loud Fog Horn, this will make any guests, who are not expecting it, jump a bit, it’s all great fun.
We only ever have one wedding per day and the wedding party has exclusive use of the lighthouse tower for as long as they require. There are two ex-Keepers’ cottages adjacent to the tower which are available to let, they are luxuriously fitted and each sleeps five. Dogs are permitted in one of those.
