Facilities and capacity At Temple Newsam House, you can choose from a number of majestic rooms, all of which are licensed for civil ceremonies and wonderful for dining. Situated on the ground floor, The Dining Room is luxurious space which can accommodate for up to forty of your loved ones for a ceremony and seats up to thirty for dinner. The grandeur of the room is enhanced by the heraldic overmantel which bears the arms of Mary Queen of Scots. The Still Room is a gorgeous and elegant venue which is perfect for an intimate civil ceremony with up to 40 guests or a delightful dinner for up to 20 guests. This beautifully unique room was initially used to make preserves and beverages, and after restoration has stayed true to its original essence, displaying a chic range of ceramics. You can celebrate your wedding in the style and splendour in the Great Hall which in the 16th century was used for the same purpose. An extraordinary space for a larger wedding ceremony and a dinner for up to 100 guests, the Great Hall leads straight into the charming courtyard as well as onto the exquisite South Terrace. The Walled Garden, which is only a short walk away from the house, is a heavenly space for a wedding breakfast or party for up to 200 of your friends and family. The breathtakingly beautiful marquee is fully lined, adorned with ceiling chandeliers and equipped with accent lighting, a solid floor, an indoor cloakroom and catering facilities. It comes along with a stylishly furnished area that is great for a reception as well as a modern bar which opens up to an extensive dining area and dance floor.
