The Venue Barkisland

Our lovingly restored venue is housed within Bowers Mill, which is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, near Halifax in West Yorkshire. Previously a former textile mill, Bowers Mill is surrounded by woodland and a lake sits in front of the mill. We are an exclusive use venue and hold three Wedding licences. Couples are offered flexability and a choice where they set their ceremony. Bowers, origionally the carding and weaving room can hold 400 guests, The Spinning Room which overlooks the rooftops of Bowers Mill has capacity for 120 guests or choose an outdoor ceremony – say ‘I do’ under the pagoda overlooking the lake. We are a family owned company and have restored the space giving a nod to it’s origional mill heritage. Stripped wooden floors, high ceilings, exposed brickwork and wrought iron pillars make it the perfect setting for a industrial chic Wedding. We love to host wonderful Weddings, our space offer couples a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for you and yur guests to enjoy. Our experienced events team work closely with each couple to achieve their dream day. Along with a stylish interior The Venue Bowers Mill is surrounded by breathtaking scenery; a woodland backdrop and lakeside setting is the perfect background for your outdoor Wedding photographs. The Bowers Mill Boutique Hotel is currently in development, and is due to welcome guests in 2020.
