Addington Palace

Addington Palace in Croydon is a stunning Grade II listed estate with a rich history dating back to the mid-16th Century. Spanning 163 acres, its beautiful landscaped grounds were designed by the renowned Capability Brown, gardener to the aristocracy. The Palace is famed for having hosted the Queen’s Royal Jubilee Visit in its Royal Marquee, offering couples the chance to follow in the footsteps of royalty on their wedding day.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, Addington Palace features two unique spaces: the Palace itself and the Royal Marquee. The Great Hall, located at the heart of the Palace, boasts a classic crystal French chandelier, silk wall coverings, and a grand fireplace, making it a majestic backdrop for wedding celebrations. The Great Hall can accommodate up to 120 guests, with additional space available in the adjoining Music Room or the Gallery above. Exclusive use of the grounds is included, ideal for wedding photography.

The Royal Marquee, set on the rear lawn beside the famous Cedar of Lebanon tree, is suitable for use year-round and comfortably hosts over 150 guests. Couples receive the assistance of an experienced event manager on their special day, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The in-house chefs are skilled in European, Asian, and African Caribbean cuisine, and are happy to collaborate on a menu that reflects your tastes, whether you wish to bring your own caterer or combine different culinary styles.
