Battle Abbey School

Battle Abbey School is a unique and historic wedding venue located in the beautiful town of Battle, East Sussex. Offering over 1000 years of history and breathtaking views over one of England's most famous battlefields, this venue promises a truly memorable setting for your special day. With a focus on flexibility and bespoke service, the school hosts around 17 weddings per year, ensuring each celebration is personal and tailored to your wishes.

The elegant, wood-panelled Duke’s Library can seat up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast, while ceremonies can accommodate up to 150, and the venue hosts up to 250 guests for barbecues or evening entertainment. All ceremonies and receptions are hosted on-site with exclusive use of the whole school and surrounding outdoor areas. Drinks are often served on the top terrace, offering stunning views and superb photo opportunities.

Catering is prepared on-site using fresh, and where possible local, East Sussex ingredients. Wedding packages range from £2,500 for a midweek, out-of-season date to £4,500 for a Saturday in summer, with average Saturday prices at £100 per head and midweek options from £69 per head. Licenced for ceremonies and receptions until midnight, Battle Abbey School is a historic venue that prides itself on flexibility and creating unique, unforgettable weddings.
