Blackwell Grange

Blackwell Grange, set in the tranquil Cotswold countryside near Shipston-on-Stour, has been a cherished family home for generations and is now an exclusive-use wedding venue. Steeped in history, the estate opened its doors to couples in 2016, inviting them to experience its elegant blend of characterful heritage, listed buildings, and thoughtfully designed contemporary interiors, all with exceptional attention to detail.

At the heart of Blackwell Grange is the beautifully restored 16th century Thatch Barn, licensed for civil ceremonies and featuring original oak beams, rustic barn doors, a magnificent open fire, and ambient lighting. Couples can say their vows in this romantic setting before enjoying welcome drinks on the Apple Tree Lawn. For those seeking a religious ceremony, there are eight picturesque churches in the surrounding Cotswold villages.

Receptions are held in the stylish Orchard Barn, a modern space with floor-to-ceiling windows, impressive dining facilities, a striking helical staircase and mezzanine snug, as well as unique features like tractor seat bar stools and wood panelling from the original water tower. Up to 150 guests can attend the ceremony and dining, with space for 200 in the evening. The in-house team, Galloping Gourmet, crafts bespoke wedding breakfasts and evening menus, from live food stations to wood-fired pizzas in the Herb Garden. After the festivities, the newlyweds can retreat to the luxurious Hayloft Honeymoon Cottage with its Juliet balcony and private garden, while guests have access to local accommodation in nearby Cotswold villages and towns.
