Broadoaks Country House is a romantic and unique Victorian gentleman’s summer residence, offering grandeur with a welcoming atmosphere. Built in 1836, the house is set within seven acres of landscaped gardens and majestic woodland near Windermere, with views out to the lake. The grounds feature stunning photographic backdrops, plentiful spots for guests to socialise or find privacy, and the tranquil sounds of the River Troutbeck and an ornate fountain at the grand entrance.
For outdoor weddings and civil partnerships, a crisp, white, licensed gazebo stands at the head of the wedding green. When not in use for ceremonies, the green even serves as a convenient helipad. The venue has undergone a substantial refurbishment, resulting in 20 beautifully refreshed and uniquely designed rooms ready for your celebration.
The Michelin-recommended restaurant can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast, offering up to five courses crafted from locally-sourced produce. Alternative options, such as an outdoor BBQ, hog roast, or a luxury buffet, are also available. Evening celebrations can welcome up to 130 guests, ensuring your day is truly personal and tailored to you.
