Clearwell Castle

Clearwell Castle, set in the tranquil Forest of Dean, is one of Gloucestershire’s finest wedding venues, offering an enchanting, fairy-tale backdrop for your celebration. The grand Ballroom is licensed for civil ceremonies and features an impressive 75ft aisle framed by leaded glass windows, creating a church-like atmosphere that accommodates up to 150 guests for both your ceremony and wedding breakfast. For the evening reception, the newly transformed Vaulted Cellar Bar can host up to 250 guests.

Weddings at Clearwell Castle are exclusively yours, allowing your party to enjoy complete privacy across the castle and its beautiful grounds. There are 15 stunning bedrooms in the castle for the night of your wedding, with an additional three cottages on the grounds ideal for the bridal party and groomsmen to stay before the event. A short walk away, Crosswell House adds a further 24 bedrooms and bar facilities, making it perfect for a night-before gathering or longer stay.
