Drovers Barn

Drovers Barn, located in Hay on Wye in the foothills of the Welsh Black Mountains, is a family-run organic farm on the border of Herefordshire and Powys. This tranquil countryside venue offers 40 acres of fields and forest for exclusive wedding weekend hire, allowing you and your guests to celebrate over three days surrounded by natural beauty.

The 16th-century farm includes two award-winning barns: a renovated stone threshing barn and a rustic outdoor agricultural barn. The venue accommodates ceremonies and receptions for up to 80 guests, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available. While Drovers Barn does not hold a civil licence, it features a fully licensed and staffed on-site bar, fire pits, a kids’ club, pet-friendly facilities, and straw bales for outdoor ceremonies. Vintage crockery, cutlery, glassware, tables, chairs, and vintage crates are included.

On-site accommodation is available for 4 to 60 guests, including restored Drovers cottages with ensuite bathrooms and glamping safari tents equipped with private underfloor heated bathrooms, wood-burners, and electric blankets. The in-house chef prepares vegan and vegetarian feasts using the farm’s organic produce, with facilities for both indoor and outdoor cooking. The venue is dedicated to reducing its environmental footprint and is happy to recommend trusted wedding suppliers for themed celebrations.
