Shillingstone House

Shillingstone House is the family home of Sir Michael and Lady Caroline Salt, set within thirty acres of stunning Dorset countryside. This secluded estate provides an intimate setting for truly individual weddings, with only six celebrations hosted each year to ensure personal attention to every detail.

The grounds offer flexible ceremony and reception spaces. An outside ceremony can take place in the gazebo, which can accommodate several hundred guests on the lawn. The gazebo can be incorporated into a marquee if desired, and two expansive lawns are available for marquee setup. A walled garden provides a peaceful retreat, whilst additional areas are designated for glamping and camping experiences.

Catering is entirely at your discretion, from formal sit-down wedding breakfasts to pizza ovens and street food options. The venue maintains an extensive list of caterers on their website, though couples are not limited to these suggestions. Many brides choose to bring in food prepared by friends or family, allowing complete creative freedom for your celebration.
