Sopley Mill

Sopley Mill is a stunning watermill venue that retains its original character with exposed oak beams and breathtaking views across the Avon water meadows. The private riverside setting feels worlds away, yet sits just minutes from Bournemouth and Christchurch with no houses in sight.

The building spans three floors connected by lift access. The top floor accommodates 100 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast and features a kitchen, whilst the second floor houses the dance floor and ceremony room. The ground floor serves as a relaxed drinks and chill-out area. Two rooms hold civil marriage licences, and a bridal suite is available for your use on the day.

The expansive terrace becomes an ideal reception space during summer months, with ample indoor space on the ground floor for 100 people should the weather turn. Winter brings cosy charm with two log fires, candlelight and twinkling lights. The venue accommodates up to 140 guests for informal celebrations or evening receptions.

Couples can either design their own bespoke wedding or opt for support from the Sopley Mill team. With no corkage charges, parking for 80 cars and partnerships with trusted local suppliers, the Mill caters to celebrations both intimate and grand.
