Sunninghill Weddings

Sunninghill Weddings is a historic Victorian Gothic venue nestled in Dorchester, Dorset, offering a distinctive setting for ceremonies, receptions and celebrations. Constructed in the late 1800s by local architects G.R. Crickmay and Son, the building combines period charm with practical event spaces that cater to gatherings of varying sizes.

The venue features several versatile rooms, each with its own character. The Porch and Vestibule showcases an ornate stained glass window and working wood burning stove, accommodating up to 100 guests. The Drawing Room, which overlooks the terrace and lawns, holds up to 40 guests and opens onto The Verandah for outdoor ceremonies. The Garden Room seats up to 100 and features eight suspended wrought iron chandeliers, or can be combined with the Drawing Room for parties of up to 140.

Outdoor spaces include a terrace ideal for drinks receptions and the main lawn, both providing atmospheric backdrops for photography. The team works closely with couples to personalise every detail, from room decoration to seating arrangements and register signing areas. Catering options range from traditional sit-down meals to outdoor barbecues and canapé receptions, with menus featuring seasonal, traditional, regional and international cuisines prepared by their chefs.
