The Granary

The Granary in Sudbury, Suffolk is a stunning Grade II listed building, dating back to 1807 and lovingly restored by the River Stour Trust in 1989. This red brick Georgian venue is beautifully situated by the River Stour, surrounded by picturesque woodland and tranquil grounds, yet remains within easy walking distance of the town centre. The Granary’s characterful interior features original roof timbers, ash flooring, and exposed red brick walls that create a warm, intimate setting for your wedding day. The ground floor foyer opens onto a lower decking area overlooking the river and woodland, perfect for welcome drinks or a relaxed gathering. Upstairs, the Barratt Room is licensed for civil ceremonies and accommodates up to 80 guests for your ceremony, 70 for a seated meal, or 100 for mixed occupancy events. Verandas offer wonderful views across the water and surrounding countryside.
