The Priests House

The Priests House is nestled within the breathtaking beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, beside the striking 12th-century ruins of Barden Tower. For over 15 years, this historic venue has played host to hundreds of unforgettable weddings, offering a setting rich in character and medieval charm. The authentically restored Old Chapel, with its grand windows, original features and stone walls, is ideal for ceremonies and for wedding breakfasts of thirty-two or more guests. For more intimate gatherings, the main House provides a cosy room with log fires, original wooden beams, and historical artefacts, setting a wonderfully atmospheric mood.

Surrounded by the splendid countryside of Wharfedale Valley, the venue boasts fabulous views along with a courtyard, lawn and orchard—all exclusive to wedding parties for the day. Outside seating lets guests relax and enjoy the tranquil grounds, shared only with local wildlife including ducks, pheasants and a resident robin.

The Priests House offers in-house catering, an attentive service team, and a large catalogue of wedding decorations, from rustic to traditional, available free of charge. A highlight is the award-winning in-house floristry service, led by business owner Debbie. For accommodation, the Barden Bunk Barn can host up to 24 overnight guests, and a bridal room is available for preparations.
