Derwydd Mansion is a Grade 2* listed 15th century mansion nestled in the heart of Carmarthenshire. Surrounded by 8 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland, this historic estate offers a truly memorable backdrop for your wedding. With history dating back to 1485, Derwydd Mansion was once owned by the Tudor knight Sir Rhys ap Thomas and is even said to have sheltered Henry Tudor on his way to Bosworth. The mansion later passed through the Stepney and Gulston families, remaining one of the county’s largest homes until its sale in 1999.
Weddings at Derwydd Mansion can be held in a marquee tailored to your preferences, accommodating from 40 to 200 guests. Guests are welcome to explore the beautiful grounds, featuring a walled garden, gazebo, and woodland paths leading to lawns with views of Carreg Cennen Castle—ideal for stunning wedding photographs. Inside, the mansion is noted for its intricate plasterwork, stained glass windows, and oak fireplaces.
Your wedding package includes a personal wedding manager, a complimentary three-course meal for the couple, red carpet and champagne arrivals, a cake stand and knife, your choice of white or cream linen, a harp player on arrival, and natural spring water from the Derwydd Mansion Spring for each table. Catering is provided by the Towers Hotel and Spa team, offering canapés, set menus, and varied buffet options. Located near the charming market town of Llandeilo and on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park, Derwydd Mansion offers a unique and romantic setting for your celebration.
