Originally built in the 1830s, Swallows Oast is situated at Gibbs Reed Farm in East Sussex and has been a celebrated banqueting hall since 1995. The main hall accommodates 100 guests for your ceremony, with additional standing space in the gallery, and offers flexibility in room layouts alongside your choice of music.
The venue comfortably seats 100 guests downstairs and 30 upstairs for dinner, with menus created by resident chef Russell Webb of Capers Catering to suit your personal preferences. After the ceremony, tables and chairs are arranged to leave plenty of space for your reception, where you're welcome to use your own decorations and centrepieces.
Swallows Oast holds a full licence until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, allowing you to dance to live or recorded music. The surrounding Swallows trail provides excellent opportunities for your photographer to capture the stunning rural surroundings. For those seeking an outdoor celebration, Swallows Pavilion holds a full licence to perform civil ceremonies. Throughout the summer months, popular catering options include barbecue or spit roast, served as a main course or as a buffet-style evening feature.
